Red White and Blue day was a success! Thank you to everyone who dressed up and learned about what Veterans Day means to our country. Special thanks to Mr. Moniello who did talks about his service before becoming a gym teacher. We thank you and all Veterans for your service!

Dear Ross/Woodward Teachers and Staff,
Ross Woodward Student Services will be sponsoring a Thanksgiving Food Drive starting this week! We are asking Ross/Woodward staff, students, and parents to contribute non-perishable food items to include in our Thanksgiving baskets. Below are the items assigned to each grade level. Please designate a collection box or bag in your classroom and inform your students of the food item assigned to your grade level. We ask that items are sent into Ross Woodward by November 14, 2025 to allow for basket organization. Baskets will be sent home to needy families the week of November 17, 2025.
Pre-K Boxed macaroni and cheese or pasta

2 Canned vegetables (yams, string beans, corn, peas…)
3 Baked goods (corn bread, cake mix, frosting..)

PINK DAY!!! We raised over $235 dollars for the CT Breast Health Initiative! We appreciate all the monetary and bead donations from our families. We donated a large basket of bracelets and cards to Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale! Thank you for helping us to raise awareness about Breast Cancer this October. Kindness Week October 24-31st
This week ended with the completion of our Kindness Wall at Ross Woodward. All students and staff were given a note card and were asked to design the card in a way that showed what kindness meant to them. It could be through a word, message, poem or drawing! The Fall Festival was fabulous! Thank you to all the families who came out to this awesome event. Thank you to our Literacy and Math Coaches and Committees for planning fun filled games in our library. Shoutout to the PTO and the Climate Committee for planning games and crafts in the cafe and hosting the open gym time! We appreciate all our teachers for their support!
