SUMMER LEARNING!
The "summer slide" is the learning loss that can happen when
students take a long break from school. Here are some ways
to prevent summer slide!
Bake or cook a meal. Double or halve the recipe ingredients to practice fractions.
Read comics or graphic novels, then draw the next chapter.
Use a budget to plan a family game night or daily meal menu.
Play games like Scrabble, Yahtzee, or Settlers of Catan to practice logic, math, and spelling.
Participate in one or more of the programs below

So much pre-K fun right at the end of the year! Thanks to all our families who came out to celebrate with us!
And our littlest people held their own graduation ceremony! So many smiles and successes! These little people learned their letters, numbers and everything in between this year! Congrats to the future class of RW graduates!!!
Shout out to our NHPS Attendance team for challenging all our students to attend school! Congrats to our Attendance challenge winner! Remember everyday counts! Have a great summer and see you August 31st!

Congrats to our Ross Woodward graduating class of 2026! Dream big! Work hard! We will miss you! Thank you to the entire 8th grade team for helping graduation go off without a hitch and our PTO families for decorating and snacks! A huge shoutout to our music department for their lovely musical pieces for our ceremony as well! Check our Facebook and Instagram pages for more photos!

Students in grades K to 5 will be at Ross Woodward for the day participating in fun activities. See the attached Color Wars image for their colors!
6-7 will be going to Lake Compounce (a previously paid for trip) with an 8:30 AM drop off time and an after school drop off of 4-4:30! Please be on the lookout for the reminder sheet coming home with students next week!
8th grade will be going to Holiday Hill! Town Hall is scheduled today to go over 8th grade EOY activities and requirements!
Dress for warm weather and bring plenty of fluids!

Greetings! The Title I Florence Caldwell Awards Ceremony have been rescheduled for June 16, 2026, at Hillhouse High School at 5:00 pm for grades 1-5.
