Our MyPath March Madness competition is heating up! After a week of great effort and lots of learning, our Sweet 16 classrooms have officially moved on in the tournament. Students across the school have been working hard passing lessons and growing in their math skills.

This week, those classrooms who are still in our bracket will be competing to see who advances to the Elite 8! The competition is getting tighter and every passed lesson counts! We are so proud of the focus and excitement students are showing as they work through their personalized paths.

Families can help by encouraging students to keep practicing their math skills and celebrate their progress. Stay tuned for our next update to see which classrooms make it to the Elite 8! 🏀🎉

The School-Based Health Center (SBHC) is excited to announce a special program for 2nd - 4th grade students with asthma! This education program will be run by staff from the SBHC , will take place during school hours, and is free of charge. Students must be in good academic standing, must have parental permission, and must be enrolled in the SBHC.

Our small group will meet once per week for four weeks over lunch to discuss many aspects of asthma control including: What is asthma? The different between rescue and controller inhalers, how to properly use your inhaler, common asthma triggers, and signs of an asthma attack. Prior to the start of the program, the nurse practitioner will meet with each student individually to assess their asthma control. At the conclusion of the program they will have another visit with the nurse practitioner.

All eligible students were sent home with a permission form this week. Please sign and return to their teacher. Students must be enrolled in the SBHC to be in the program. To enroll, please register online: https://nhpsorientation.net/health-center-permission-form/

If you have any questions, please feel free to call.

To the Incredible NHPS Social Workers - at Ross Woodward - Ms. Martin!!!!

Thank you for the unwavering dedication, compassion, and expertise you bring to our students, families, and school communities every single day. Your work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is seen everywhere in the child who feels supported, the family who feels heard, and the school that feels more connected because of you.
You navigate challenges with empathy, advocate with strength, and show up with hearts focused on healing and hope. You make our schools safer, our students more supported, and our community stronger.
We are deeply grateful for the care you give, the burdens you help lift, and the difference you make one conversation, one crisis, and one child at a time.
