Ross Woodward Student Services will be sponsoring a Thanksgiving Food Drive starting this week! We are asking Ross/Woodward staff, students, and parents to contribute non-perishable food items to include in our Thanksgiving baskets. Below are the items assigned to each grade level. Please designate a collection box or bag in your classroom and inform your students of the food item assigned to your grade level. We ask that items are sent into Ross Woodward by November 14, 2025 to allow for basket organization. Baskets will be sent home to needy families the week of November 17, 2025.
Pre-K Boxed macaroni and cheese or pasta
K Gravy
1 Stuffing
2 Canned vegetables (yams, string beans, corn, peas…)
3 Baked goods (corn bread, cake mix, frosting..)
4 Boxed potatoes or rice

This Friday October 31st the School-Based Health Center at Ross/Woodward will be having a free flu clinic* before AND after the costume parade at 10 AM. WALK INS WELCOME!
You do not need to be enrolled in the clinic to get your flu vaccine.

We can help! The School-Based Health Center offers same day sick/urgent visits during and before school hours at NO COST. You can even come if they are too sick to come to school!
Our Services Include:
Testing for flu and strep throat
Treatment or medication for illnesses
Clearance to return to school after being sick
Referrals to medical specialists
Flu shots and other immunizations
Any urgent care needs

Parade at 10 AM promptly - Indoors through School Community
Parking in front lot or on street where designated - Families welcome to attend viewing of parade
Students can come in Book Character Costumes and carry their book through parade!
Ross Woodward students and staff may wear costumes to school that abide by the school dress code and the guidelines below:
Costume Guidelines:
Costumes may be worn to school only if they are manageable and comfortable to wear throughout the day.
Students must be able to sit down in a work space/desk if wearing their costume during the day.
All costumes must be mindful of the school dress code. Costumes must be appropriate for school. Please keep in mind the various ages of students at Ross Woodward and be sure costumes are not too gory or scary.
Costumes involving blood, toy weapons or costumes with similar themes are inappropriate and will not be permitted.
