Our Kindergarten scholars enjoyed a special May Week visit from the New Haven Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Students experienced a meaningful read-aloud, received signed books, and connected with the author. Staff were also appreciated with thoughtful gifts. We are grateful for this enriching partnership.
Our Drumline and Cheer Squad are at it again! Every week for testing they've been pepping us up to get ready for the big state tests this month!

Our fourth graders rocked their Heroes Wax Museum last week! The Ross Woodward Drumline rocked out this morning in the Fair Haven parade! Congrats to all our musicians for their hard work and dedication to their craft! A shout out to their fearless leader Mrs. Brown for starting this group and helping these musicians grow.
Our Drumline students have to hold a C average or better in classes, have staff recommendations to join the group and no behavior referrals to continue playing. They attend lesson time during our Band block lessons and practice after school once a week! They are a very hardworking group of students in our middle school!

Huge congratulations to Mason Walcott, Axel Portillo, and Jayshawn Locklin for coming in 4th place out of 270 teams statewide in the Stock Market Game!
The Stock Market Game is an educational, web-based simulation of capital markets used by student in grade 4-12 to learn about economics, investing, and personal finance. Teams manage a virtual $100,000 portfolio, investing in stocks, bonds, and mutual funds to compete for highest portfolio performance.

With safety in mind, we would like to remind families of the following procedures regarding early pick-up/early dismissal:
Families must notify the office before 12pm, preferably by email or by note, of any student change in dismissal, whether it be a pick up or for the student to take the bus.
Families must pick up their students in the office BEFORE 3pm or at the student’s designated pick-up area at dismissal. THE OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED FOR EARLY PICK-UPS FROM 3pm to 3:25pm. (This will also apply to early dismissal days, from 1-1:25pm.)
