Last week Ross Woodward got musical! Our littlest musicians all sang in the 1st to 4th grade music concert along with our 5/6 band! Then later that night a small group of singers joined Mr Fasano at the yard Goats game to showcase a song! Congrats to all our wonderful musicians! Be on the lookout for our next musical concert coming Friday June 5th!

Our BOGO Book Fair continues this week! Everything is Buy one Get one FREE! Check it out in the library - students may shop during their library time, before or after school with families and we'll be open tonight during our Americana night event! If they have already missed their shopping time don't worry! We will do final call on FRIDAY!

Our Preschool program finished up their year with a trip to the West Haven beach to check out water, sand and have fun! Thank you to all the teachers for teaching all about the ecosystem of the beach and thank you to our families for attending! Everyone had a blast!

This student centered day is super fun! Students in grades K to 5 will be at Ross Woodward for the day participating in fun activities. See the attached Color Wars image for their colors! 6-7 will be going to Lake Compounce (a previously paid for trip) with an 8:30 AM drop off time and an after school drop off of 4-4:30! Please be on the lookout for the reminder sheet coming home with students next week! 8th grade will be going to Holiday Hill! Hi Families! My name is Ava Lilly and I am the Girl Scout leader of the Ross Woodward troop #60360. This year was my first year and we had so much fun! We are looking to recruit girls (any girl in Kindergarten up to 8th grade can join) for next year so if you are interested, please reach out! Meetings take place every other Friday in the library from 3:30 to 5 pm during the school year. It's a great opportunity to meet new friends, make fun crafts, go on field trips and sell cookies! Due to today's extreme heat which necessitated an early school closing, the Title I Awards ceremony scheduled for this evening at Hillhouse High School will be postponed. We will advise you of a new date for the event as soon as possible.

Due to today’s extreme heat, we will have an early dismissal for all schools today. Schools will dismiss two hours ahead of the normally scheduled time. Transportation will be provided to students who normally ride the bus. There will be no afterschool programs. Although we realize that early dismissals pose an inconvenience, we decided it was best to act out of an abundance of caution. Thank you for your partnership in ensuring student safety.
